Modern/Vintage

Just a little modern scene done with classic midcentury modern designed pieces.



I finally got a white Barcelona chair, thanks to Minismodernas! This Reac version has been hard to find, but I did find a similar one being made by Cufflinks Cowboy Boots on Etsy. 

 The dish on the coffee table is Re-ment, The striped dish in the back is from Dollshouse Emporium, the decorative bowl in the back was an Ebay find, the Barcelona Chair is Reac and the rest is by me with  little help from my awesome husband.

The amazing modern paintings are by Lyssa at Lyssa's Budget Minis and Can't have it Big? Make it Mini , the rest is by me.

Here it is with the fire going and arc lamp lit.

    Lovin' everything in this scene. Two questions though..what is that fab floor material and how cool is that sculpture? Is it carved drift wood?

      Hi Carol! Thanks! Isn't that floor cool!? It's laminate samples that I cut into 1 inch strips. The best part? It was free!The statue is a piece of driftwood.

    This is an awesome scene, I love it all! I knew about the samples, it looks great on this floor. The fire and the arc lamp are gorgeous, so cozy, just like the reflection of the light on the bottom picture! The Barcelona chair is wonderful, enjoy your purchases!

    Love everything here and indeed great floor idea did you make the miror yourself to? And how did you make those lights inside the lamp and fireplace?

      Thanks, Mandy! The fire in the fireplace is battery operated from Evan Designs. For the arc lamp, I just wired it through a small aluminum tube from a hobby store.

    I love that floor, and the drift wood piece. They really balance out well with the clean lines of the mid-century modern furniture.
