Sorry I'm a little late with this week's giveaway stuff. It's been a crazy weekend, sort of.
This weekend I bought a bunch of minis from someone on Craigslist. They are all very traditional and some needed A LOT of rehab. I probably paid too much, but I had a vision. Has anyone watched the show Color Splash on HGTV? I love David Bromstad's style and the fact that he isn't afraid to use color....and a lot of it. Home by Novogratz is another one where they sometimes use regular old furnishings and really funk things up (my favorite decorating show by the way).
Anyway that is what I did on Mother's Day. The hubby took the kids and I was able to do a little mini rehabbing.
This is what I started with:

Box #1
Box #2: By the way, box #2 is going on Ebay soon if anyone is interested, look for it! There is really some good stuff, just not my style!
Hello super dated 70's furniture
Oh look, more traditional...
Really needed some love...
I got out the sand paper and spray paint (and bought some other colors) and went to town on a few pieces that seemed to have potential.
This is what I got:
Of course, I painted them my favorite colors. It's a little hard to tell, but I think they turned out really cool. It's amazing what a little paint can do in both mini-life and real-life!
This brings me to the week #3 give away:
Wait for it....
A couple of pieces of junk that got funky! For those who are modernists, notice the cool chairs in the frame? These pieces would be great for any style of decor. They look light blue, but they are really turquoise. Sorry but the drawers don't open, they're just for show.
Rules:

2: Comment on this post (hopefully something nice).
