About two weeks ago this blog reached 200 followers....then it lost one making it 199. Now there are 202. Also, my blog will reach it's 2 year mark next month, so I think it's time to celebrate!
Before I tell you about how I'd like to celebrate, I want to tell a few things I have learned from having this blog: This is not in any specific order, I'm just randomly putting down my thoughts.

- It's not wierd to make new friends on the internet...at least not in this case. I feel like I have made some wonderful friends all over the world in the last two years. It's nice to be able to share your hobby without people thinking you're that crazy dollhouse lady (kind of like the crazy cat lady).
- I have become more generous. Not just with minis, but in life in general.
- I'm still REALLY bad at getting back to people on a timely basis. Some of you know this first hand.
- I've learned to live with a dirty house so that I can work on miniatures.
- I've learned how to create soooooooooo many things thanks to my fellow bloggers.
- There is an amazing number of extremely talented creative people out there-true artists!
- I know why hand made modern miniatures are so expensive: The time and effort that goes into making each one. You have to be really creative to do this on a budget, but that's part of the fun of it!
- I work outside of the house so that I can support this crazy obsession.
- Miniatures are small, but take up a huge amount of space!
- Nothing goes in the trash or recycling unless it has been examined for miniature possibilities first.
Feel free to add to the list if you would like!
Celebration details coming tomorrow! I know---a tease!
I found myself smiling and nodding to your whole list! :D Congrats on the 2 and 202! Cheers!
ReplyDeletewhat a great list! I think I agree to them all- except I did not know the secret of the first one. I have been trying to balance clean house and minis- I did not know I just simply needed to learn how to live with the messy house-lol :) Congrats on 200 followers and almost 2 years!!!!

ReplyDeleteI Love the list you made about this hobby, it is so true: My daughter just called, they are coming this way and I should be cleaning the living room out of my miniature works...so that the three and one year old children can stay here, but here I am sitting by the computer :)
Better rush.
