After a lot of brainstorming I've decided what I'm going to do with the new Creating Contest Kit. I'm going with a very modern tropical house. It may be because it's been a long winter and it was 70 degrees a couple of days ago and it now it's in the 40's for awhile. Call it Spring Fever.
I'm going to replace the sliding glass door with a folding glass door. Hopefully I can figure out how to make it frameless like this one.
With any luck, it will fold up like this.
I would also like to make the doors lead out to an infinity pool with an ocean view and maybe an outdoor kitchen or modern outdoor bar.
I've got a good start. I'm going to make the two partial walls on either side of the glass doors windows as to not limit the beautiful view. I'm going to make the pool out of construction foam. The foam is 1 inch thick and I'll probably have to use two layers to make the pool so I'll also have to beef up the base because it's only 7/8". (Did you notice that my workroom is still relatively organized?)
It sounds like a very exciting project. I am so looking forward to seeing how you create this house. You have a very unique style, as I have said before, and I just know your final result be stellar!
ReplyDeleteYou've got some wonderful plans, I can't wait to see what you will come up with for the contest :D!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could sit at the swimming pool, to relax a bit and drinking a cocktail......wow!!
Have a nice day!
Very nice!! I know you can do that door! :)
ReplyDeleteEl proyecto suena muy bien.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like it! The folding glass door is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteWow those folding doors will be challenging - but you can do it =0)
ReplyDeleteYay you! I'm still waiting on my kit, and working on something that is so scarily similar that I might need to change my plan :-(
ReplyDeleteIt might be fun to see our different takes on the same idea!
DeleteAfter facing another blizzard today I can't wait to get whisked away to the tropics over here! I always love miniature pools and an infinity one sounds especially great too! :)
ReplyDeleteI just can't wait to see. I'm about to start a new project of my own. Good luck!
